Therapist Profiles
At Align, we know that the quality of our therapists reflects directly on us. With this in mind, we have ensured that all our therapists are fully qualified and have built up a great reputation based on experience.

Kerry Etkin
Kerry qualified as a physiotherapist in Johannesburg in 1994, thereafter working in a private hospital where she ran the hand therapy unit until 1997. She decided to further her education and immigrated to Perth where she completed a post-graduate diploma in upper limb injuries and hand rehabilitation from Curtin University. From there the bright lights of Sydney beckoned and she moved across where she developed an interest in Pilates. Having completed her certification from Body, Arts and Science, Kerry began her own practice, combining both her physiotherapy and Pilates knowledge, which enable her to offer a comprehensive rehabilitation option. She is treasurer of the Pilates Alliance and on the Faculty for Pilates International.
Kelsey Morrisey
Kelsey completed a Masters of Occupational Therapy and Bachelor of Science (Sports Science) in Perth, Western Australia prior to moving to Sydney in 2008. Kelsey has previous clinical experience in private practice, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries through myofascial release techniques and trigger point therapy. Having previously participated as a team member in Calisthenics at a State and National level Kelsey is passionate about injury prevention and assisting others to achieve their goals. Kelsey has completed her full pilates certification through Pilates International.
Martin Canova
Martin graduated in 2005 from Macquarie University with both a Bachelor of Science (Anatomy and Physiology) and a Masters of Chiropractic. Since that time he has investigated a wide range of techniques from both within chiropractic and from other health and fitness related areas. As a result he trained extensively and specialized in Applied Kinesiology, Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), Retained Primitive Reflexes, a variety of Cranial techniques, and Metabolics as well as traditional Chiropractic spinal and peripheral joint adjusting. He has also been involved in research into the performance benefits of chiropractic for elite athletes with players in Australian soccer?s A-League, and regularly attends postgraduate seminars to keep his knowledge at the forefront of the techniques he uses.
His post-graduate training has helped him develop the skills necessary to be able to deal with a wide range of health complaints. Because of this he regularly helps people with everything from spinal and muscular complaints (neck and back pain and other injuries), anxiety & digestive problems, to childhood learning and behavioral problems, stress related problems, emotional issues and depression. He also provides education on nutrition, exercise and lifestyle.
Before coming to Chiropractic, he worked for 6 years as a fully trained hospital nurse in a number of hospitals throughout Sydney. It became clear to him during that time that rarely was the underlying cause of a person?s problems discovered or helped significantly in that setting. Martin finds the most satisfying part of his work is that he regularly sees chiropractic more than deliver on its promise; a life of greater flexibility ? physically, mentally and emotionally. By addressing the underlying patterns causing people?s health problems he sees them benefiting quickly, safely and effectively.
